Supporting AQVA: a gesture that changes lives

Every contribution, whether from the public sector, private sector, or individuals, plays a vital role in AQVA's mission. Thanks to this support, we are able to offer adapted sailing sessions at a symbolic cost of $20, while their actual value exceeds $100.

This funding not only makes sailing accessible, but also maintains a safe, professional, and high-quality service for people living with functional limitations.

Public Funding

Government support constitutes an essential part of our budget.

  • Canada Summer Jobs (Federal Government) allows us to hire student instructors during the summer season.

  • PALIM Program, managed by Altergo and funded by the Quebec Government and the City of Montreal, covers part of our instructors' salaries in Pointe-Claire.

  • We also receive contributions from the City of Pointe-Claire and the City of Montreal under the PANAM program.

  • In the past, the Canadian Paralympic Committee and the Accessibility Fund (ESDC) have supported the purchase of new sailboats, the production of videos, and the construction of accessible facilities.

Foundation Support

We are fortunate to be supported by several foundations that believe in our mission.

A valuable collaboration continues with West Island Community Shares, which supports our program with consistent annual funding.

Over the years, we have also received help from several committed foundations, including:

  • Foundation of Greater Montreal
  • Zeller Family Foundation
  • Canadian Tire Jumpstart Foundation of Quebec
  • Martin-Matte Foundation
  • Charles Cusson Foundation
  • Kaufman Foundation ...and many others.

Corporate Partnerships

Many companies are committed to working with us and actively contribute to the success of our activities.

Names such as Royal Bank of Canada, Fairmont, Croesus, Jay Peak, Tupperware, Les Tournesols and Les 3 Sœurs have offered their support over the years. These partnerships help fund equipment, enhance our services, and extend our impact.

Events and Donations

Fundraising Events

Our flagship event, the Regatta for AQVA, is much more than a friendly competition: it's a moment of solidarity and generosity. Organized in partnership with the Royal St. Lawrence Yacht Club in Dorval, this activity mobilizes the nautical community for an inclusive and unifying cause.

Individual Donations

Every individual donation counts. Our "Give" campaign allows everyone to contribute, according to their means, to a meaningful project. These acts of solidarity help us maintain our services, improve our fleet, and bring the sailing experience to a greater number of people.
