AQVA (Association québécoise de voile adaptée)
wishes to enable children and adults with physical and/or sensory disabilities, even very severe ones, to improve their quality of life and their integration into the community through the practice of sailing. Its activities take place in Pointe-Claire but it offers support to its affiliated organizations that offer adapted sailing programs in the Gaspésie and Eastern Townships.
It is with great pleasure that AQVA welcomes Jean-René Bergevin-Marion as our new Executive Director.
With several years of experience in sports management and community development, Jean-René has distinguished himself through his commitment to sports and his dedication to inclusion. Throughout his career, he has worked with various sports organizations, notably with the Conseil du Sport de Montréal and Golf Canada. These experiences have given him a broad, inclusive perspective on sports needs in Quebec, along with strong skills in project management and community engagement.
As Executive Director, Jean-René aims to expand AQVA’s visibility and ensure the organization’s continued growth. He is committed to strengthening our resources to better support our community and to providing every member with enhanced access to adaptive aquatic activities.
Welcome to the AQVA family, Jean-René!
